Conversations and Music Time with Landon

Landon and I have the best conversations on the way home from gymnastics on Mondays! Today, while drinking the icee coke he got for doing a great job during gymnastics we had this conversation:
Landon, what do you learn about when you go to chapel at school?
I learn about God.
What have you learned about God? Who is he?
He's that guy who makes "every stuff". Mommy, did he make icee cokes?
He also sang me this song:
O Fwismas Fwree
O Fwismas Fwree
How wuvwey are your fwanches
Sweet boy has a little trouble with a few consonant combinations but I can tell you it was the best version of O Christmas Tree I've ever heard! Incidentally, we go for a speech therapy evaluation mid December.
Our kiddos are sure growing up fast! We kinda like them a lot. Even when they are rowdy, obnoxious and refuse to sleep all night...they're pretty special to us.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We are thankful for our little turkey and her big brother!

We have had a wonderful day! We enjoyed a lazy morning watching the Macy's parade and then had a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner with the Battreals and Hankins. Now we are on the road to Lavaca and Jim's going to Razorback game tomorrow.

We are very thankful for our sweet family and friends!

Jack-O-Lanterns!

We introduced Landon to one of our favorite Halloween traditions this year! Carving pumpkins! He thought it was so neat and had fun doing some of the carving! He wasn't too fond of getting the goop and seeds out though. Maddie Kate sat in her high chair and watched us for a little while! I can't wait til she's big enough to help!

Playtime with Luke and Ella!

A couple weeks ago Marie brought Luke and Ella over to play. They brought pizza too! The boys had fun wrestling and being ornery and Ella earned at least 4 pieces of candy by pushing the boys on the swing set. Maddie Kate doesn't seem to be afraid of the big kids! She was right in the big middle of it all! I only got pictures with my phone but I just have to share them. These boys just crack me up! They are both ALL boy!!!

iPhone Fun and Germs

It's 5am on Sunday morning and I'm awake. Which is ironic because MK has slept all night. It seems maybe the kiddos shared some germs with me or maybe I just caught something out and about. Since Wednesday before last we've had an ear infection, two eye infections and now whatever I have which apparently isn't strep...but it's pretty much the worst sore throat ever and I've had fever. And I have an ear infection. So, I'm pretty much no help this weekend and Jim's been a trooper even though he's exhausted. Surely the antibiotic shot I got will kick in soon!

The kiddos have both had eye infections and Landon ran really high fever. He missed school most of the week but is feeling better. MK got the same eye infection later in the week. She's had a little fever too. I sure hope everyone avoids what I have! I wouldn't wish this sore throat on anyone!!

Landon had fun with my phone taking his picture over and over again and I have to share his latest collage of self portraits.

And this sweet girl (with lunch on her face) has the cutest grin.

School Pictures: Fall - 2012

The kiddos had their school pictures a few weeks ago.  Landon looks so handsome!  I sure wish I could get him to smile like this when I take pictures!  Clearly, I'm not a professional...or he's just too busy during my photo shoots.  MK looks unsure of the whole idea but I think she looks adorable and she's wearing the dress that our friend Wanda made for her.  I love it!

A Trip to the State Fair - 2012

The fair was in town a few weeks ago and we were so excited to take the kiddos!  We went on a Sunday afternoon and we all had a great time!  Landon loved riding the rides, looking at the animals, sharing nachos with daddy and watching the monkey show!  Maddie Kate was pretty content to stroll...I think she's a people watcher and what better place than the fair for that?!

Landon has grown so much he could ride most of the rides!

MK strolling.

Daddy was pretty excited to take his little boy to the fair!

He buckled him in the first ride.

Landon thought this ride was awesome!

We rode the carousel.

MK liked it!

Landon did too!

This was mommy's corn dog...Landon much preferred the nachos!

This money had all kinds of tricks!

These cars looked like fun...and when they whipped around the track super fast we thought Landon would want off right away!  He didn't.  Caught him off guard - but he didn't hate it!

Right in the sun!  Poor girl.

Feeding the animals!

MK wasn't too sure what to think about the petting zoo!
