ABC's

Maddie Kate loves it when I sing songs to her. Her favorites are Ba Ba Black Sheep (Bababa), Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (Up up sky!), and she also likes Pat a Cake (papapapa). But her favorite is the ABC's. She even knows some of the letters and definitely knows the last part! I got this video during bath last week. Bath time is about the only time I can keep her confined well enough to get a video. She's such a toot and is learning so much right now!!!

Landon

I'm also overdue on a Landon update. Our dude has a lot going on and he also keeps us entertained and on our toes. He loves music and on a trip to the farm for cousin Jess and Mark's wedding this past weekend I caught him singing into his fist microphone...which he may or may not have picked up from his favorite mommy. We sure love this ornery, cute fella.

Maddie Kate

MK is almost 20 months old and I think an update is way overdue. I forgot one of her checkups so we are also due another one where they'll weigh and measure her. I'll post an update after her next visit with the pediatrician. Until then I will just say that...wow! This baby girl is just keeping us busy and entertained. She's so smart...so fun and just about the cutest baby girl we've ever known. Here is a picture of her latest funny fish face!

Phones Don't Swim

The new iPhone 5 my super sweet hubby bought me as a surprise in April went for a swim today during a pool party. Did you know phones don't swim? Nope-they sink. And even when super sweet hubby's fish them out super quick certain features on otter box encased phones don't like to work. So, after lots o drama with Verizon I'm back on my iPhone 4. Landon is less than impressed since the 4 was deemed his new toy. First world problems, right? The new phone will live in a ginormous bowl of cheap rice we had stashed in the freezer for a day or so and here's hoping said cheap rice will save us the expense of a new phone.
Even after I dropped my amazing gift in the pool my sweet hubs bought me flowers as another surprise. I think he's a keeper. But we already knew that!

Updated. Jim's a smarty pants and suggested I see if I could get my phone fixed locally. Since I of course know everything I poo-poo'd this idea..but then checked it out anyway. Guess what. Jim knows way more than me and I got my phone fixed for a fraction of the cost of an insurance claim. Yahoo!!!
