Landon's first flight!

We went to Dallas over 4th of July weekend for our goddaughter Blakely's baptism. She was born a couple of weeks after Landon and it was our first time to meet her. She is adorable and we are very honored to be her godparents. Her big sister is Riley who you may remember from a previous post...we went to the lake in Texas with them a few years ago and Riley was so much fun on the boat! Riley is already 3 and I'm not sure we had seen her since our wedding! She was one of our flower girls. She was so cute...she saw her daddy at the end of the aisle and she ran down to see him! She is getting so big and is absolutely precious!

We decided to fly down since we weren't sure how Landon would do in a car for that long...and kiddos under 2 fly free so it seemed like the perfect idea. We were a little nervous about flying with our little guy because of the pressure on the ears and also because we've both been on planes with screaming kids and we didn't want to be "that family". Landon is a very laid back baby so thought the odds were in our favor...and we were right! He was perfect on the plane! He looked around and babbled away at the people sitting next to us...and he was much more patient than we were when we thought our bags were lost!

Outside before the airport...Landon's all "chill" as if he's done this a million times!

Southwest was out of wings but he got a sticker! The agent helping us was so nice and thought Landon was such a cutie...she's right. :)

Really, mom...why does daddy have to make silly faces for the camera?

Boarding the plane!

This was supposed to be our family picture on the plane...but mommy did not have a photogenic moment so here's Landon and daddy!

Landon and his new buddy Blakely! She's much better with tummy time!

Princess Riley stuck in the middle with Landon trying to eat Blakely's fingers! Aren't they cutie pies!?

Here is Riley running down the aisle at our wedding...is that precious or what?!

We had such a good weekend and can't wait to visit again!

Happy Anniversary!

So, I'm a little late posting this but Jim and I celebrated our second anniversary on June 23rd. I can't believe we have been married for two years! It really seems like we just got engaged yesterday. Our time together has been wonderful and I'm so happy that we found each other (and that he stuck around while I grew up a little). Our little family has grown and we feel blessed beyond belief. We are looking forward to the years to come.

We celebrated by going to happy hour at Cregan's in North Little Rock and then we walked down to Ristorante Capeo for dinner. It was a fabulous evening...but I was kinda sad that we didn't have another layer of wedding cake to dig into! Next year maybe we'll have Mickey's recreate the top layer of our wedding cake for us...or maybe we'll just get a couple cupcakes. If you know me at all you know I love a good excuse for cake!

Speaking of cake...here are a few of my favorite cake pictures...

I spent countless hours searching for wedding cake ideas. I realize this is silly and that the cake isn't the most important part of the day...but again, if you know me you know I love cake! I was happy with how our's turned out. The cake topper was my grandparent's. I was so excited that my Mama saved it and that we could use it. My Mama and Papa are two of my most favorite people and no other cake topper would have done for our wedding.

Here they are on their wedding day. They will celebrate their 60th anniversary this year!

Jim LOVES cheesecake...so, we had 4 groom's cheesecakes!

I got him good! Okay, so he got me good too. I almost never got the cake out of my nose!

I love tradition! I didn't let Jim see my dress before the wedding, we didn't see each other on our wedding day until just before the ceremony and I had my something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. So, as I'm sure you've gathered...in keeping with wedding traditions we saved the top layer of our wedding cake and ate it on our first anniversary. Amazingly enough it was just as good a year later even after being frozen!

He really got me good a year later!!

Happy Anniversary Sweetie!

Love you, Boog - yes he calls me Boog...it's short for Booger Bear...and I'm okay with it. :)
